Walking
There are lots of lovely beach walks accessible from house or within 10 minute drive/bus.
North Berwick gives you access to the famous John Muir Way which runs from coast to coast across central Scotland.
For hill walkers and casual walkers alike, going up North Berwick Law is well worth the climb for spectacular views over East Lothian and the Firth of Forth.
The Lammermuir Hills are also accessible within a half hour drive south from North Berwick.

We are within 3.5 miles of Tantallon Castle to the east and Dirleton castle to the west.
This is a semi-ruined mid 14th century fortress with amazing views out to the Bass Rock.

Set in an old warehouse, the HQ roasts its own coffee and sells delicious seasonal food (in front of log burners for the colder days). It stays open till around 8pm on a Friday when pizza is available from a van parked outside.

Boat trips
Various companies offer boat trips out to the islands in the Firth of Forth - the Bass Rock, Fidra, Craigleith and The Lamb. from these boats you can (hopefully) see puffins, gannets and seals.
The Seabird Centre is situated at the harbour and has a Discovery Centre with interactive cameras to the local island as well as a gift shop and cafe (with outside decking overlooking the Bass Rock).
