Oklahoma has its first Taiyaki shop, and it has landed in downtown Sapulpa! Taiyaki is a street food originating from Japan that consists of baked waffle or pancake batter in the shape of a fish. It is typically filled with a sweetened red bean paste but Little Taiyaki’s will come alongside various flavors of soft-serve ice cream. The shop also serves Acai bowls, horchata cold brews, and soft serve flavors like Strawberry Horchata. Ice cream is made fresh daily!

An annual event held in downtown Sapulpa since 1989, the Route 66 Blowout celebrates Mother Road nostalgia with a well-attended car, motorcycle and truck show. See over 250 entries of classic, vintage and modified vehicles. In addition, the Route 66 Blowout features a juried art show and sale, historic walking tours of Sapulpa, live music, crafts and commercial vendors. Kids can also participate in activities tailored specifically for them. Don't forget to visit all the food vendors for tasty treats and fair-style delicacies throughout the day.
