Beach
The beach is long! You can walk for either direction for a couple of miles or all the way to Clacton if you like.
It is tidal so be aware it disappears at times, however there is a promenade to walk or cycle along instead.
It is dog friendly in lots of places but not all the way along so watch for signs winter it’s dog friendly no restrictions

The Peir has the expected amusement arcades and also a bowling alley. It does have a bar and serves food.
You can walk all the way to the end where you can view the lifeboat
