The stairs are great exercise as well and will take you from the base of La Mesa Village and Downtown LM to the top of grandfather hill where the founder of La Mesa's historic Craftman mansion sits with an amazing view. Highly recommended.

A bit out of the way but absolutely worth it. Hundreds of sculptures are here, including a "mini" version (its maybe 100ft not 350 ft, ha!) of the dragon that is out in Anza Borrego. If you are checking out Temecula or Anza Borrego, worthwhile to pop in and visit Ricardo and see more of his amazing creations made out of scrap metal.
