Mossey Cave Trail is an easy 0.9 mile walk to a mysterious, watery oasis in this desert region. The trail offers a wonderful view of the canyon and ends at an alcove covered in moss created by the natural springs seeping through the sandstone. During the cold winter months the trickling water creates incredible ice cycles that resemble stalactites found in deep underground caves.

On most Southern Utah bucket lists, you’ll find the local favorite one-two punch of Peek-a-Boo and Spooky Slot Canyons. These magnificent hikes, located in the Dry Fork area of the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument area, can be done individually, but they make for a killer loop you can tackle in one afternoon of adventure. Once you’re in, all you have to do is walk through a scenic paradise of red and purple rock. From the trailhead, get into Dry Fork Wash via moderate scrambling down some short cliffs and following cairns as needed. Once you’re off the cliff and into the sand dunes, you’ll hike along the creek wash until you see the mouth of Peek-a-Boo. There are hand and foot cut-outs in the rock to help you get up and into the canyon. Once you leave Peek-a-Boo, keep hiking (longer than you think you should, most likely) until you come to a juniper tree, then follow the trail and cairns leading to the right and the entrance of Spooky Gulch. Scramble down a mellow rock face to get into the canyon. It soon tightens up, and you’ll be having a good time navigating the confines of this fun canyon. The loop generally takes about 3-4 hours depending on pace and skill level.

The Queen’s Garden Trail is a 1.8-mile trail that takes hikers along the bottom of the canyon providing up close access to the mysterious hoodoos found at Bryce. As the trail winds through the canyon, it meets up with the Navajo Loop. If hikers choose to continue on the new trail it will add an extra 1.3 miles to their adventure. Both trails are classified as moderate. Once the loop has been completed, a short walk along the Rim Trail will take hikers back to their vehicles.

The iconic Navajo Loop Trail begins and ends at Sunset Point. Its switchbacks wind between narrow walls of colorful limestone with views of towering Douglas-fir trees and the park's most famous hoodoo: Thor's hammer. The loop has two sides: Two Bridges and Wall Street. The Two Bridges side is open year-round, however, the Wall Street side is closed during the winter months. During this time Two-Bridges can be hiked as an out-and-back trail or combined with other trails.

Located just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park, Thunder Mountain has spectacular trails, challenging riding, and thrilling vistas. Of the 24 miles of established singletrack around Red Canyon, none compare to the Thunder Mountain Trail. Coordinate with your riding partners to stop and snap a picture of you on this trail — you're going to look fantastic within this colorful landscape. Thunder Mountain can be tackled in one of three ways — a scenic loop, a high-adrenaline downhill, or a masochistic hill climb. Choose your own adventure, but whichever that might be, you should be comfortable on terrain that can be loose with tight switchbacks and steep drops.
