The Assaranca Waterfall is hidden away. Just a "few-minutes" (approx 20mins, Irish time :P ) drive from the main road outside Ardara. But like most of Ireland's backroads the drive is narrow, winding...and beautiful!

This beach is my personal favourite. It's my 'happy place'. Narin (Irish: An Fhearthainn) is a small seaside village in the parish of Ardara on the southwest coast of County Donegal, Ireland. The topography is rough rolling bogland and craggy low hills. Narin Strand is a sand beach approximately two kilometres long.

The picturesque town of Glenties, which has won awards both in the national Tidy Towns competition and the international European competition, Entente Florale. Glenties is set in the heart of the Bluestack Mountains of southwest Donegal, and is an ideal location for the active traveller as the surrounding glens are a haven for hill walkers and cyclists, and a series of marked walks and tracks (gentle or demanding) meander through the country-side.
