The highest point in the area is Clingman’s Dome. It’s about 1:15 hours from the cabin but we’ll worth it. The views are the most spectacular you will see in the area. It’s also wheelchair friendly and has restrooms. There are NO RESTAURANTS here so take snacks or pack a lunch. Be sure to check the visibility index. You need good weather to maximize the views.
