New Orleans is a great place and in general, our neighborhood is very safe, but it is still in a city. Please do not walk alone at night. Also, always be aware of your surroundings. Always lock the apartment doors. It's a great city, but sometimes people forget about crime because they are surrounded by large beautiful homes.
