Sightseeing
Lake Brownwood State Park offers a variety of activities throughout the year. There are beaches for swimming, hiking trails, historic sites and great views of the lake. Call for fees and special events. (512) 389-8920

Mini-Train
The Mini-Train operates every Saturday from 10 to 3, weather permitting. Both adults and children can ride, only $2 per person.

After browsing the rich history of Brown County, guests will enjoy a guided tour of the old jail across the street and be transported back in time to see glimpses of what life was like as a Brown County sheriff... or as an inmate.

Open all night, soldiers would find rest here when hotels were all full. Fully renovated, our store is now home to gently used and new books. This is a space to find a new book to read, make new friends, and where real stories are shared! Come pause with us.
