Tizimin is the closest major city to stock up on supplies and pesos. Tizimin has several large supermarkets to stock up on food and drinks and also has banks and ATM machines to get your pesos. Tizimin also has a municipal market where you can buy fresh meats and produce if you go early. Also the market has a food court with many vendors where you can buy local favorites for breakfast and lunch. Remember that El Cuyo does not have any banks or ATM machines and most places of business here don't accept credit cards. Come prepared with enough pesos!
