Getting out and about
Below are just a few suggestions on local walks
There are two amazing walks from your accommodation that are part of the Wallarah National Park.
One walk (The coastal walking track-https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/walking-tracks/coastal-walking-track) takes you along the coast line with breath taking views and loops you back along a 5 km walking track (undulating- 1-2hrs )
The other walk takes you Murrays Beach for great views across Lake Macquarie whilst you enjoy coffee/lunch in the cafe (undulating-1-2hrs)

If you wish to walk back in a natural environment but along an alternative route, I recommend you walk along the top and behind the dunes. Ask me how to find the track.
It is a amazing hidden beach to visit, it is a bit of a walk to the beach 10 to 15 mins, lovely walk over the rocks or to see the caves but be sure to go at low tide, and lovely place to swim or surf. Just a great place to go for a good walk to explore aswell. Very difficult to get parking as only limited spots available. No facilities to get changed and no toilets nearby. Nice and quiet and great for kids to explore.

Pink Caves
It is a amazing hidden beach to visit, it is a bit of a walk to the beach 10 to 15 mins, lovely walk over the rocks or to see the caves but be sure to go at low tide, and lovely place to swim or surf. Just a great place to go for a good walk to explore aswell. Very difficult to get parking as only limited spots available. No facilities to get changed and no toilets nearby. Nice and quiet and great for kids to explore.
Ghosties Beach is stunning, it has that wild feeling with colourful boulders at one end and the towering cliff walls which surround it on two sides. It’s a beautiful stretch of pristine sand and on a sunny day the water colour is a deep blue.

Walk down Ocean View Parade and turn left into Caves Beach Road. Keep the seaviews to your right whilst you make your way to the Caves Beach shops -IGA, Chemist, take aways, restaurants and coffee shops.
Get local supplies from SPAR/IGA/Liquor.
Walk back along the foreshore track to the bottom of Ocean View Parade.
