Walking & sightseeing
St Catherine's Hill is a short walk from the centre of Winchester. It is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle and has a good path around the river. You can chose to walk up the hill to see the amazing views of Winchester or do a nice walk along the river. There is also a cafe (HandleBar cafe).

The cathedral is situated in the middle of the town centre and can't be missed. It is what makes Winchester Winchester! The grounds are worth a wander around and the gardens are lovely to sit in for a picnic.

The City Mill is a historic feature of Winchester. It is a working mill and they give demonstrations of how they make bread. It is National Trust so you pay to get in. There is also a wonderful cafe with bread made by the mill.

Travelling into central Winchester
Option 1. Drive
Option 2. Bus number 3 (stops only a 5 minute walk from my house and takes you into town)
Option 3. Taxi (would cost max £8 from the house to town) or a little more after 10pm.

Parking
These are the best car park options in the city (in my opinion!) :
1. Tower Street (pay and display) - this is the nearest one to the AirBnb and largest. It is a the top end of town but very close to highstreet.
2. Middle Brook car park (pay at the end) - situated in the middle of town.
3. Chesil Street multistorey (pay and display) - lower end of Winchester (a good option if you are going to this end of town but a bit further away from the highstreet)

Getting to my AirBnb
Some tips for finding me :
1. If you are driving, your Sat Nav should bring you straight here and you can park right outside (I don't have a driveway but there is plenty of free road parking and it is a quiet road).
2. It is less than a 10 min drive in a taxi from the train station (£8 roughly)
3. Alternatively you can get the No.3 bus from near the station which takes you to nearby my house (get off at the March Hare pub in Harestock) and walk 5 mins.
