Hyalite Canyon Recreation Area- travel south of town on 19th ave. The road turns west at Kirk Park. Go about 1 more mile and turn left onto Hyalite Canyon Road (paved road). It's about 9 miles up to the reservoir. There are loads of hiking trails around the parking area at the reservoir.
