Good restaurants pubs nearby are listed below. If you crave fish and chips, the nearest shops are: North Elmham - Fish and Chip Shop, Station Rd, North Elmham, Dereham NR20 5HH and Eric's Fish and Chip in Holt, 4 Fish Hill, Holt, Norfolk, NR25 6BD. Information on takeaways: The Ordnance Arms in Guist provides Thai food and is recommended by our neighbours. They do not deliver but are only about 10 minutes away by car. The nearest Indian takeaway is the Melton Spice in Melton Constable, which will deliver. We are pretty sure that they only take cash so you should have some with you if you do decide to use them. The Fakenham Tandoori does not deliver and is about 20 minutes away by car. We have not used either of these Indian takeaways ourselves but both have reasonable reviews. Our neighbours have used the one in Melton and say that the food is good. There are a couple of Chinese restaurants that do takeaways (probably not delivery though) in Fakenham. Pearl River has been used in the past by our neighbours and they were pleased with their meal. New World has slightly better reviews online but neither we nor ours neighbours have tried it.
