Great Grocery that maintains a variety of local goods and organic food. May be little more spendy than some are used to. Think local Whole Foods. Great place to grab prepared meals cheaper than a restaurant.

Shopping
St. Johns has a historic downtown area, which is growing and evolving on what seems like a daily basis. Businesses that have been around for 75 years, like The Man Shop mix with new ones, like ours, RoM (rome) Shoes. Some of my favorite places to pick up unique finds are The Salty Teacup, Etcetera Gifts and Goods, Therapy, and Coffee Kids for the little ones.

Just cross over the St. Johns bridge to the west side of the WIllamette River, and you'll start seeing trailheads a few on the way to Portland and a few up Germantown road. It's about 14 miles, and you could hike into the NW Portland and take the bus back for an awesome day adventure.
