Only open in the summer months, but it's homemade Italian from the next town over (Ward.) My personal fave is the Roman Beef Lasagna, but any of the pasta dishes are pretty darn great!

Access this quiet and scenic mountain trail system on foot from the house. Walk up the driveway, hang a left on 6th street, take the first fork on the right, walk uphill past a pile of boulders and keep going until you see the trail head on your right. Follow the trail up to Nederland Elementary, then follow the signs for Mud lake after walking across the parking lot. It's not a terrible distance from the house, but be sure to bring water, as you can easily roam around for a couple of hours.
