Sightseeing
We have the lovely Navua Reserve just around the corner from us (less than 800m away) and the water is (in places), shallow enough for a toddler to paddle in safely. It’s tidal so can vary and dogs and horses also visit it regularly. I recommend taking a picnic and finding a nice spot in the shade on a warm day. You can walk across the river easily and picnic on the other side too (it’s called Yarramundi Reserve on the other side).

The Secret Garden is located at the Western Sydney University campus, Richmond on 15 acres. This not-for-profit ‘Community Hub’ focuses to provide a space that draws community groups, organisations and individuals from all walks of life together in a creative and supportive environment, especially supporting disability services. You'll find a retail plant nursery, cafe, gift shop, farmyard animals, a fairy garden and a children's playground.

Food scene
A great place to relax and enjoy a cold glass of cider and wood fired pizzas. The ciders are made purely from local apples and have no added sugar or artificial flavours. They're also gluten free and suitable for vegans.

We are located just a short 13 minute drive from the quaint township of Kurrajong where you’ll find a deli, butcher, restaurants, cafes, an antique store and boutique gift and clothing shops.

Richmond's rich history is evident in the streets where deep, hand cut sandstone gutters still exist. The local area was the third area to have European settlement in Australia after Sydney and Parramatta. The first 22 European settlers came to the area in 1794.
Many cafes, boutiques and gift shops exist in the main street with weekly markets (held on Saturdays) on the grounds of the oval - well worth the visit for fresh dumplings and homemade breads and spreads made from local produce. All you'd expect a quaint country market to provide.
