Probably the closest cafe to us, probably does the best coffee in Sydney (although lots of cafes claim that) and also does lovely breakfast. You can get dinner next door at the Winery as well which is also lovely.

This bar is slightly hard to find, even with Google Maps. It's on the second floor on Oxford St, so look out for the name on a sign protruding over the pavement, and then duck into the little doorway and head into a beautiful little bar with some of the best beers, whiskeys and wines in Sydney.
It also has boardgames, and while they only formally get them out on a Monday night, if you ask nicely and it's quiet, they'll sometimes let you pull one out for a bit of fun while you drink.

This is a wonderful place for hiking, camping, fresh water swimming, etc. You may not see all that much if you try to do a day trip from our place, but it's easy to get to by train from Central Station (nearby) and well worth a look while you're in Sydney.

A relatively pricey alternative to the duopoly of the Woolworths and Coles, but they do have some really nice food, cosmetics and drinks. Lots of organic stuff, and kombucha, sourdough bread, etc.
