Sightseeing
A stones throw away from the cabins front door. This is quite a beautiful lake nestled in north woods. I have pulled many many bass, crappie and pike out of this lake. This is an all sports lake with public access at Elk Lake Bar. Great for pontoons and jet skies. You can also moor your watercraft for the duration of your stay directly in front of the cabin rather than pulling it out at night. No watercraft... no worries! Just go for a swim or feel free to use our paddleboat or kayak free of charge. Also in the winter the ice fishing is pretty good
Elk Lake

House Lake State Forest Campground
House lake is a beautiful place to visit for a day outing as well as over night camping trips. There is a very nice sandy beach tucked in the northern pines, perfect for swimming and kayaking. Shopping
This is a great little outlet mall. Not on the same scale as Birch Run but it there are quite a few shops such as Coach, Carters, Eddie Bauer ect.

If you enjoy antiquing this place is a little gem. Great way to spend an afternoon. The Potato Barn is in downtown West Branch which is about 15 minutes from the cabin

Under 10 minutes from the cabin. To be honest I have never played this course but I have eaten in the attached restaurant the Hearth. It is rated star course by Golf Digest as well as one of the top 25 best public courses in Michigan

Within walking distance from the cabin. Great little place to grab some burgers or pizza and a couple beers or shoot some pool. This place gets pretty busy in the summer, especially on the weekends. Very friendly service and a great view of Elk Lake
Elk Lake Bar
6365 Oak StreetAnother little restaurant/ bar located under 5 minutes from the cabin. Karaoke on some nights. Pool and spirits as well as a pretty good lunch and dinner. I dont recommend for breakfast

The Hearth is attached to Sugar Springs Golf Course and open all year long. The food is delicious and fairly priced. This would definitely be my first recommendation for a nice dinner. Ten minutes from the cabin
