This is a must do while in Phippsburg if you can do a mild 2 mile one way hike. Seawall beach is worth the time and the look out points along the way are beautiful. Easy for kids to walk but it is 4 miles round trip. Bates College conservation area. Parking is easy early morning, harder as the day goes in.

Parking can sometimes be a challenge. Go in the evening and eat at Spinney’s Restaurant right by the Fort.

Built in 1928, it is one of 74 left in the world. It is build of granite slabs and the ocean water flows through it where it connects Orr’s & Bailey’s Island. While you are down that way stop at Cook’s Lobster House for some fresh Maine seafood. And find Land’s End Gift Shop at the end of Bailey’s Island! They have a lot and the view is fantastic. On your way back thru Orr’s Island check out Island Creation’s Candy shop, for ice cream and candy.

Downtown Bath is a beautiful small city with many shops and restaurants worth a visit. Mucus on the riverside park is common on the summer weekends.

Local fresh seafood to pick up and cook at the apartment! And it is right next door. Out our driveway, turn left and clam hunter is on Todd’s way the very next left. 2 minutes there. Their clams and oysters are the cleanest anywhere!
