Sightseeing

The stunning walk up and along the Cat's Back is a big favorite. Park at Black Hill car park, walk up onto the ridge and follow it all the way to the trig point. The walk offers incredible views down the Olchon valley and over to Offers Dyke. Dress for all weathers as it can change quickly and in winter can be chilly and breezy! On the way home stop for great food and a pint at the bridge Inn in Michaelchurch Escley.

City/town information

Hereford is a pretty, rural city that has the beautiful Cathedral at its centre. The Cathedral is well worth a visit and hosts the famous Mappa Mundi. There is a lovely walk from the Hereford Leisure pool (where you can park) through Bishop's meadow, over Castle Green and through to the Cathedral close. From the cathedral you can walk down Church Street (with its independent shops and cafes) to high town, then you go on down Wide Marsh street you will come to the Old Market shopping area with its strip of eateries and other high street shops.
