Some dining options

The only local restaurant with Gulf water views - ocean side. Great place to eat breakfast...and DOGS are allowed on side patio! Food and coffee are okay, atmosphere is chill, but views are awesome.

It's small, and the seafood is a bit pricey (folks have to survive on the island), but the food is almost always worth the wait! They have indoor and outdoor dining options.

When you are in celebration mode and money is not of highest concern, I highly recommend enjoying a meal at the Black Marlin. Be sure to get there EARLY, because there is always a wait on the few night when they are open (Fri-Sun) with limited hours. Our experience left us with great memories, and the food was excellent.

Fun places to drive or bicycle through

This is a nice, residential neighborhood with little traffic. It provides a reasonably quiet area to bicycle and check out some beautiful homes set directly on the canals.

This is a great place to bicycle...especially right before sunset. You can meander along the harbor and channel, watching the fishermen, the ferries, the boats - and the dolphins!! They have playscapes for children and benches if you'd like to sit a little longer. Grabbing an ice cream from Dairy Queen before you head in this direction is one more excellent option!
