This nice, small beach is less crowded than the main beach of St Raphaël-Frejus, and as a bonus it has a *great* wood patio seafront restaurant (which we highly reccomend) just 5 minutes walk along the beach to the west, called L'épuisette Plage. we do reccoment booking a table!

Agay's stunning rastel rock hills and impressive railroad arch bridge make it a worthwhile alternative to visit once or twice. it has more than enough restaurants along the coast for an easy day trip.

Calanque St Barthelemy is a beautiful crystal clear water beach on the impressive coastal rock formations of the Esterel. you'll see far more sea life (fish, octopus, etc) here than at Frejus. Come early for some peace and quiet.

See that island with the Tower on it? That inspired Herge to write (Tintin and ) the Black Island comic book! Look for the 1st edition cover and you will certainly recognize St Raphael's Lion de Mer Island as the inspiration.
