Of all the little Mexican places near our house, we've found this one to be the best. Just know that when they advertise "steak" on their menu, you should replace your expectations with "ground beef." Their quesadillas are especially good.

Pretty standard Indian fare, but does especially good Chana (chickpea) dishes.

Here's where to head if you're looking for good upscale American food in the neighborhood. Rogers Park has slim pickings when it comes to the foodie scene (though you can also head south a few miles to Andersonville to scratch that itch), but we've had good luck with Peckish Pig. We've never had drinks here, but it advertises as a brewery and seems to have a good offering.
