Shopping

Great little stores and coffee shops with charm on the locks! There's a quirky antique store (2 storefronts) on the main street called Grr8 Finds Markets that is definitely worth a browse. There's a bakery called The Little Pie Shack that is a must for tasty treats. For coffee, SIP Hot + Cold is a nice spot and has a great selection of take-home plants as well. There's also a health food store called Country Cupboard that serves amazing freshly made frozen yogurt as well as a selection of grocery items. It's a short drive away from Coboconk featuring some lovely home shops and patios with a view of the locks!

Local

A few recommendations for the local area are: Souter's Variety & Gift Shop- a sweet little convenience store that offers home goods, snacks and serves Kawartha dairy Ice cream. Riverbank pizza has a great selection of pizzas for pick-up that are perfect for an evening in. The Pattie House Smokin' BBQ is a historic pub right down the street with a small patio out back, great for drinks and pub food. There's also a greasy spoon called Dockside Restaurant Bar and Grill that is nice for breakfast. There's also a Foodland, Subway, Gas Station, Tim Hortons, Beer Store and LCBO all within walking distance of the cottage. You're also able to jump off the bridge in town into the lake (about 12ft tall) and is great fun for kids and adults! Coboconk also features Canada's smallest jail which was built in 1884, it is a very small structure just beside the Marina in town that now stands as a small market shop with handmade bits and bobs (open on Saturday.)
