Very cool and laidback, it’s become the place to be seen in Kingsbridge. Sitting right on the estuary, it has great outdoor tables, and a glass fronted balcony to enjoy the views. They have a wide ranging menu and the pizzas are hard to beat.

This is a firm family favourite with the best steaks in the South Hams. Just a 5 minute drive from the domes, it's well-loved for it's delicious but no-fuss fare, country pub decor and friendly staff. We'd recommend booking ahead as it's popular with locals and tourists all year round!

A smart restaurant in a lovely spot on the embankment; sit outside looking over the estuary or inside beside the glass-walled kitchen. Seafood-orientated menus have a Mediterranean bias, with Josper-grilled whole fish and fresh pastas the favourites. Start with a cocktail in the lovely Joe’s Bar.

Once for the surfers amongst us, it is flanked by sanddunes and sits at the mouth of the river avon. Best reached earlier in the day as the single-track lane gets very busy, has a lovely little gastro bus and the Sloop Inn in the village is lovely too. However, it’s worth noting that there is a strong rip current, so be sure to swim between the flags.

One of our favourites thanks to the crystal clear waters and the sun lasting long into the evening. Safe waters for swimming. We recommend parking at the Thurlstone end of the beach as the car park doesn’t fill up as quickly, but it’s certainly worth getting there early.
