The Pink Caves are accessed by walking over the rock platform from Moonee Beach back towards Catherine Hill Bay Beach, so you must only go there at low tide and in low swells. The cave is more pink than is shown in this picture

You can't walk on the pier for now but it is magnificent and walking under it you will see remnants of chains etc, and near there is a black section of the cliff face which is actually coal.
