The village of Sault (pronounced like "sew") west of Mont Ventoux is the place for lavender. If you want to admire the huge lavender fields and stroll a beautiful hilltop village you will love it.

Nice perched village (if a bit touristy). The Carrieres de Lumiere there is definitely worth seeing. Allow 1/2 day to see that and walk the village.

The Roman aqueduct in Nimes is spectacular. That is a nice afternoon too. Perhaps combine with a trip to Arles (the Wed. market in Arles is HUGE), and see the Roman museum and arena.
