Food Scene

Big Ed's is one of the last original breakfast diners that actually feels like an old-school diner. It's part of City Market, one of the oldest areas in Downtown Raleigh. You'll enjoy cobble stone roads & walkways and fun historical pieces throughout the restaurant.

Drinks & Nightlife

One of the most unique spaces in Downtown Raleigh. Although it's a small craft brewery, you'll enjoy an upscale feel, carefully-curated cocktails, books and other historical souvenirs, as well as a delicious Asian cuisine. https://brewerybhavana.com

Parks & Nature

Lake Johnson is one of my favorite outdoor spots in all of Raleigh! It's close to downtown (about 3 miles away near NC State) and has two routes: a 2.7 mile trail and a longer 5+ mile trail. There's a boat house with a snack bar, picnic tables and rocking chairs looking over the water. You can rent paddle boards or row boats, or you can run, walk, hike or fish off the pier.
