Marlow has a rich history and is named for the Marlow family. A quick trip to Redbud park where the Marlow Brothers Monument clearly gives the history of the Marlow Brothers is well worth the visit. (East on Main St.) Side note, the 1965 John Wayne Movie "The Sons of Katie Elder" is said to be loosely based on the Marlow Brothers story.
Marlow Public Schools proudly boast the "Outlaws" as it's mascot and it is said, "Once and Outlaw always an Outlaw!"
