Water
Do not drink the tap water. It is fine to use to brush your teeth but not recommended to consume. We recommend purchasing water and ice before your arrival. Although Prince Edward County is technically an island, water supply is in high demand, especially in the summer season when rain isn’t replenishing the supply as quickly as people are consuming water. With more and more areas struggling with droughts, conserving water is more important than ever. Even a few small changes can add up to hundreds of gallons in water saved each year so please only consume what you need!

Hit the Trail
If you’re looking to get outside while you’re here, there are plenty of ways you can do so. Head to Sugarbush Vineyards where you can rent snowshoes for $20, which includes a wine tasting and hot chocolate (weekends only). Or you can participate in a guided 3km snowshoeing walk at Three Dog Winery on weekends throughout February, which includes snowshoes and a glass of wine. Why not bring your cross country skis and plan a trip down the Millennium Trail? Or pack your best snow boots and go for a winter hike at Macaulay Mountain or at the Sandbanks Dunes Trail.
