There are some Avenues where you can walk and sightseeing Cancun including the hotel zone, downtown and some nearby neighborhoods where you can find restaurants, stores, and experience how local carry on every day activities.

You should arrange transportation before you go since it’s in about an hour distance from the Airbnb to Xcaret and bit further to Xel-ha. Isla mujeres it can be a whole day activitie but plan to check crossing schedule since they Don’t operate 24 hours.

You could easily stroll the city with strollers. There are convenience stores almost anyplace to easily get snacks and drinks for the kiddos.

Wear cool clothes, sandals, flip flops, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen are must to be comfortable. If you are planning to walk a lot, don’t forget your tennis shoes.
