If you have a car, take the 40 minute drive down the Natchez Trace to the Loveless Cafe. You will probably have to wait for breakfast but there are all kinds of wonderful shops located in the old hotel rooms that surround the restaurant. Iconic biscuits, fried chicken and country ham. No diets allowed!

This spot is just down the street and one of my favorite places to support in town. They have a fresh menu focused on simple, healthful, and delicious breakfast and lunch items, along with an extensive beverage menu featuring fine tea, coffee, and Nashville’s only daily, traditional afternoon high tea service and a fabulous gift shop. (Thistle Farms is a nonprofit social enterprise, based in Nashville, TN, dedicated to helping women survivors recover and heal from prostitution, trafficking, and addiction. This is my favorite local fresh market just down the street and is also where I fill up my water jugs for the purified water I offer in my refrigerator. You can find fruits, vegetables, local baked goods, some frozen and refrigerated items here. A very small grocery option but heathy and local!

If you don't have the chance to enjoy a concert at my favorite venue in the world, then at least do the tour. The Mother Church is called that for a reason and you will feel the history and ghosts of Country past when you enter the building.

Gorgeous museum with stellar gift shop and cafe that is privileged to occupy one of Nashville’s great historic landmarks—the former main post office. Constructed from 1933 to 1934, Nashville’s former post office displays both of the most distinctive architectural styles of the period: classicism and Art Deco.
