Once the site of a bustling mill powered by steam and a community of over 300 residents. Throughout the massive concrete ruins, you can see the round holes where steam pipes once ran. There was a waterwheel north of the small pond where the fish ladder is now, near the railroad bridge on the Whitehorse trail. Now fisherman will find a variety of fish including rainbow trout in these ponds.

Whitehorse Trail is a rail trail 5 minutes from here, connecting the cities of Darrington and Arlington. The 27-mile-long trail uses a former Northern Pacific Railway spur built in 1901 and abandoned in 1990.
