The Green Vault (Grünes Gewölbe) is a museum which contains the largest treasure collection in Europe. The museum was founded in 1723 by Augustus the Strong of Poland and Saxony, and it features a variety of exhibits in styles from Baroque to Classicism.
For all the museum lovers, the Dresden Transport Museum displays vehicles of all modes of transport, such as railway, shipping, road and air traffic, under one roof. The museum is housed in the Johanneum at the Neumarkt. The Johanneum was built between 1586 and 1590 and is one of the oldest museum buildings in Dresden.
