A hike to the top of Monument Mountain (a few miles south of Stockbridge on Rte 7) is a great way to spend an afternoon in the summer or Autumn. It takes 30-45 mins to walk up the trail (at times, steep) and is a great way to get exercise and fresh air while taking in the natural beauty of The Berkshires. Bring water, a light snack & sun screen/bug spray and enjoy a respite and picnic at the top!
