Vitabar is one of the most legendary burger joints in the city. Their prices haven't changed much either, which is a great thing as of late. Go there for the no nonsense atmosphere, grab a burger and fries or for the more adventurous types try the "never-forget-me" blue cheese burger. There's a reason for that name so you really have to like blue cheese for this to work...

Kex hostel doesn't look like much from the outside but once you're in there you'll understand why this has become one of the most popular fusion hotels/restaurants/bar/music venue/barbershops in town. Amazing food, great craft beers and great live music. Oh and this place used to be biscuit factory! Kex is slang for biscuit.

Getting Around
BSÍ bus terminal is where the flight buses go, the domestic busses and so on. Also has a hidden restaurant that sells the old Icelandic cuisine like sheep head , rotten shark etc.

This place has good prices and a nice mixture of locals and tourists. A very friendly and open atmosphere if you want to meet new people. We've been out there so many times and made new friends from all over the world. It's a bar at a hostel so they stop serving drinks at 11pm but it's super fun until then. Also has a nice patio that overlooks the city!

Hip Hop lives here and here only. A very busy place to party on the weekends. It can get wild.
