This is my nearest pub and it's one of the nicest you'll find anywhere. I say pub it's essentially a restaurant. Delicious dishes from well-considered menus, a stylish laid-back interior, lovely courtyard garden and exceptional staff and service. You definitely need to book.

Neighbourhood
For those travelling to Bristol for the first time, the Gloucester Road, less than 5 minutes walk down the hill is packed with independent bars, restaurants, cafes, specialist food and wine shops, homewares stores, yoga studios. From my house you can walk up the hill (as you hit the Gloucester Road) and explore in that direction first, or walk down the hill in the direction of the city centre.
