Bauline is located on the Northeastern Avalon Peninsula along the Killick Coast. The town is within 20 minutes of the international airport and the province’s capital city, St. John’s. It was incorporated in 1988 and has approximately 400 residents. The first permanent settlers were around 1800 but prior to that families from across Conception Bay would come to Bauline for the summer fishing season. The church in Bauline was built in 1901 and common family names are King, Whelan, Legrow and Butler.
