This place is kind of like a mini Grand Canyon. It is about an hour from here and you can pass through it on your way to Spokane.

City/town information
Take the Lady of the Lake up to Stehekin and plan on spending the entire day! Go see Rainbow falls and get some goodies at the bakery. I recommend the Lady Liberty up and back. It is the fastest boat and gives you 6 hours to explore, rent bikes, etc. Such a fun and memorable trip!
