Local stuff in downtown FiDi
You're right at the heart of wall street. A favorite restaurant is Bellini, fancy Italian. South Street Seaport is right outside, and Pier 17 is becoming trendy.
Some upscale restaurants are Crown Shy, Manhatta, and Nobu. Nearby is one of the Momofuku. For coffee, I recommend Suited, also on John Street. For groceries, I suggest Eataly and Whole Foods.

Famous landmarks nearby
Close by is also World Trade Center, Oculus, and Brookfield Place. Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Charging Bull, and the Stock Exchange is also here.
It's even walkable to Soho, Chinatown, LES, and West Village. And at some parts of the year, you can also see Tribeca Film Festival or parts of Fashion Week.

Pier 11 ferry
If weather is nice, is a surprisingly fun way to get around - goes to Brooklyn and other places, but also to Rockaway Beach! Makes the beach weirdly close by to downtown Manhattan.
