In our neighborhood
You won't want to miss this little walk. Take a left out of the street onto Old Taupo Road and walk under the bridge ( about 50m) and head up the stream. There is a great little path and it winds through some very big Redwoods. It goes all the way to Malfroy Road but you can just do 20 minutes and return the same path. Look for trout in the stream.

One of the rare places where the graves are all above ground. The church isn't alway open but if it is, the stained glass of Jesus walking across the water of Lake Rotorua is memorable.

Its advisable to pack for cooler climate even in summer. The evenings are cool and the forests can be damp.

If visiting any marae ( meeting house) be aware you will need to slip off your shoes so no laces are a good idea.
Respectful clothing should be worn on any sacred ground or local marae.
