Sightseeing

ACU has a lovely campus with a walking trail around the entire thing! The sports are fun events, and the theatre productions are excellent.

Hiking

We love going to the Abilene State Park to hike or fish. It has some lovely trails and a bird watching area.

Food scene

I love the vibe of this locally owned (I know the owners!) coffee shop. It’s a great place to meet up with friends, study, or work. My favorite fall/winter coffee is the Fireside Latte!

I enjoy Moose Mountain because it is a smaller coffee venue (inside) and has a lovely outside seating area. They offer gluten free quiches, too, which is a plus for me!

The Local Coffee Scene

Abilene has a plethora of locally owned coffee shops - Front Porch, Monks, and Moose Mountain Coffee are some of my favorites.
