Lake Oroville Visitor Center has an excellent museum with exhibits about Oroville Dam and Native American history. There is a 47-foot tower viewing tower with two high-powered telescopes offering views of the lake, Sierra Nevadas, valley, foothills, and the Sutter Buttes mountain range.

Lake Oroville Visitor Center
917 Kelly Ridge RdLake Oroville Visitor Center has an excellent museum with exhibits about Oroville Dam and Native American history. There is a 47-foot tower viewing tower with two high-powered telescopes offering views of the lake, Sierra Nevadas, valley, foothills, and the Sutter Buttes mountain range.
There is a fun place to go for a swim, fish or launch a boat. It is located approximately 9 miles from Madrone Meadows (24-minute drive). There is a bathroom facility. The Enterprise boat ramp is located on the South Fork arm of Lake Oroville. It has a two-lane boat ramp that extends down to 837’. Fishing and swimming also take place along the shoreline at this site, but the site is closed when the reservoir is below 800’. There are 40 vehicle/trailer parking spaces. Recreational activities are available, including swimming and boat rentals (Kayak, Stand-Up Paddleboard, Pedal Boat, Hydrobike, Canoe) The Day Use Area has a seasonally staffed visitor information and fee collection booth and two paved boat ramps, one with two lanes and one with three lanes.
