This is where we most often dine. It is insanely delectable Italian food. The owner hails from the small village of Gravin, which is close to Sicily in southern Italy. The staff is ridiculously kind, the service is excellent, the food is to-die-for - I know people don't think "Italian" when they think of Spain, but if they give this restaurant a go, then they will def change their minds!

Teresa Carles opened the first vegetarian restaurant in the Catalunya in the late 1970s. She has expanded to have a flexitarian joint - Flax n Kale - and a few quick breakfast, lunch, and juice bar spots - Teresa's. There are Flax n Kale & Teresa's locations in Born, and they're popular with all diets. The original Teresa Carles restaurant has fabulous interior design and the menu will have even the most carnivorous of fellas drooling.

One of the places I frequent the most - this nearby burger joint has great Angus beef options & the best veggie burger I've tried (La Solé). They make a tasty albahaca (basil) mayo, and I hate mayo, but I would eat this from the container, so make sure you request a side. They also make really good Piminetos de Padron, a Catalan staple - so give those a try.

Great Bloody Marys, excellent food choices. It is in Barceloneta, so de facto "touristy" but if you get there early or don't mind a bit of a wait, then it is tasty and you'll greatly enjoy your time.

If you want to go to a Locals Only beach that is only a short train ride away, this is your spot. Walk to Arc d'Triomf metro, and buy a metro card for 2 zones,* You will be taking the Rodalies de Catalunya (the train... rather than the metro), but you can use the same ticket just make sure to increase the zones to two.
You want to take the R1 line (Línia R1 Molins de Rei - Maçanet-Massanes per Mataró) toward Macanet. Schedule: http://www.trenscat.com/renfe/r1_ct.html
*You can order a return ticket for about 5€, but if you'll use the Metro again, buy the T-10 for 20€ -- if you're traveling with someone, you can share the same ticket, so don't buy 2).

100% recommend doing this. Tickets are about 30€, but it's a great way to see EVERYTHING you'll be asked if you saw in BCN. if you take a left out of the flat door, and walk about 150m, there is a kiosk near a Tabacs shop that sells tickets. You can then walk back toward the flat, and cross the first main street to Pla de Palau where you can get on the bus at the Pla de Palau stop. https://city-sightseeing.com/en/17/barcelona/277/hop-on-hop-off-barcelona
I'd take the Red Route to Plaça Catalunya, then hop on the Blue line until you get to Francesc Maciá, where you can change back to the Red line.

Getting Around
So, I wanted to add Barceloneta metro, because it's the closest stop on the L4, but I don't see it as an option. Anyway, if you take a right out of the front door of the flat, and cross the street (take a left) at the first intersection, you will run into the Barceloneta L4 metro in about 200m total. This takes you directly to Plaça Catalunya or beaches further away than Barceloneta, which is about a kilometer from the flat.
