A real taste of italian cusine
Venice is very touristic and often visitors can fall into some "tourist traps". I try to sudgest you places where venetian people usually eat and drink, just to avoid you find yourself eating a kebab and drinking a coke ..
All typical italian recipes well known abroad (such as "spaghetti bolognese" or pizza) are not from the Venice region. If you want to eat good Italian food but not necessarily from Venice I suggest you try this restaurant.
The owner is Willy, a good friend. Great food, SUPER wine, super super service…. Very italian but not venetian.

For a typical aperitif, in my opinion, there is nothing better than eating "cicchetti' and drink some good quality wine.

Drinks & Nightlife
I use to go there when i want to eat a TRAMEZZINO, These are small sandwiches with different ingredients and each bar has its specialty. The simplest one is "tonno e uova" (tuna, egg and mayonnaise).
I also used to go to this bar when it opens early in the morning just to buy "flauti alla nutella" or other kind of brioches when they just come out of the hoven
