Next door you can find the MN Transgender Health Coalition which provides free community services and events to the Queer community. (EG volunteers here on a regular basis.)

This is our absolute favorite place to go for brunch! Its interior is just as bright and colorful as the exterior and the menu has plenty of options for different dietary needs and palates. Though there tends to be a wait during peak hours, it is well worth it!

Sabathani Community Center was once Bryant Junior High School, where the late Prince attended school. There is a small museum in his honor on the 3rd floor. Sabathani now hosts a number of community events, services and nonprofit offices. The building is often closed on the weekends, so try to stop by during the week if you want to check out the Prince museum.

At Powderhorn Park you will find locals relaxing, playing baseball or soccer, walking dogs, and doing outdoor fitness. The park is also home of the popular May Day Festival which happens the first weekend in May. There are FREE fitness classes in the parks building during the cold season and on the stage on the west side of the park in the spring and summer; Yoga is 9:30am on Saturdays and Zumba is at 6:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. These classes draw largely from the local LGBTQ and Latinx communities.
