There are a great number of activities available and sightseeing in the Wanaka and surrounding areas is never disappointing. Please just ask for some tips.
Many beautiful walks are very close from us and your host Iris is more than happy to show you on a map or just ask the visitor center in town.
The Rocky Mountain/Diamond lake track is considered one of the very best half day walks in the country, along the mighty Clutha river you might spot a trout and even the 45 min walk into town from the studio is highly attractive.
The Alpinism studio cottage is part of the Alpinism & Ski enterprise. We offer mountaineering trips and instruction courses which are usually 5-7 days long. A for accommodation, alpinism adventures and art. Your host Iris is an artist and has greeting cards, prints and original paintings available. Her home gallery is open by arrangement and please don't hesitate to ask for a looksy.

Entertainment & Activities
Mother Nature in and around Wanaka provides plenty of activities on land and with a certain budget also in the air and on the water. From a guided garden tour, via fishing and boat trips to helicopter flights, there is much to see and do. Don't hesitate to ask for details and/or visit the tourism information center.
