The World's end is one of the many historic pubs. But this one marks the end of the former town, at it is situated at the former gate in the town wall. Check the cobble street in front of the pub for brass stones marking the original dimensions of the gate and towers in the city wall. Try the haggis in whisky sauce there, highly recommended!

Arts & Culture

Best place to go on a rainy day to explore the Scottish History (National Museum of Scotland - new built area on right hand side) or World Cultures, Art& Design, Science and Technology and Natural Sciences (all galleries in the amazing victorian building with stunning glass roof) .. soo much to see for free!! Have a break in the balcony cafe. (I also have free tickets for special exhibitions)
