Parks & Nature
Long Hunter State Park is a state park in Davidson County and Rutherford County, Tennessee. The park is mostly situated along the eastern shores of Percy Priest Lake, an artificial lake created by an impoundment of the Stones River.
Address: 2910 Hobson Pike, Hermitage, TN 37076
Hours:
Open ⋅ Closes 6:45PM
Phone: (615) 885-2422
Hike the 2-miles around the lake, wooded hiking trails, canoe rentals, picnic and playground, fishing, wildlife.
Couchville Bluff
One of my favorite parts of Long Hunter is the Couchville Bluff area. It’s just this massive rock formation that hangs over the lake. The pictures don’t do this place justice. You definitely need to experience it in person. But be careful! I wouldn’t attempt it with very young children. I also think this would make a great backdrop for a photo shoot.
